S/S2002 Junya Watanabe Poem Denim

Insanely rare and clean pair of Junya Watanabe’s Spring/Summer 2002 "Poem" jeans.

In 2001, Junya Watanabe unveiled his debut menswear collection after a decade of designing womenswear under the Comme des Garçons umbrella. His Spring/Summer 2002 "Poem" collection blended minimalist design with emotional storytelling.

The handwritten texts printed throughout the collection were reportedly gathered from Junya’s own employees, who were asked to write short poems about love, life, and morality. This unique concept made the collection one of the most memorable in early 2000s Japanese fashion.

This pair was a grail of mine for so long, and I'm super happy to finally have them in hand, especially in such a good size and condition.
