F/W15 Junya Watanabe Repaired Patchwork Hybrid Jeans

Insanely cool pair of jeans from Junya Watanabe’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. An almost identical pair was featured on the season’s runway.

The front is constructed from super clean raw denim, finished with multiple boro-stitching patchwork repairs, distressed details, and black silk panels. The back completely switches it up, being made from a soft, suit-like fabric that creates an insane contrast with the rugged denim front.

It really feels like two different worlds colliding. The back feels like classic tailored menswear, while the distressed denim front just screams streetwear. Such a perfect example of Junya’s approach to mixing completely different fabrics and styles into one piece.
